A desire to reconnect with nature will lead us back to our instincts.  More people will seek to balance instinct with insight, now using data to inform the decision making process not determine it.  A growing consciousness around sustainability will draw us to look for materials created from natural waste, textiles in rustic weaves and natural hides. The look will be a global meshing of styles.  Native products, artisanal techniques and traditional patterns will be made modern but in the spirit of preservation rather than appropriation.  A nomadic, utilitarian direction will emerge, driven by a growing demand for fashion that is equipped for global travel.  Taking into consideration transitional looks that work for changes in climate, water repellency and other hi-tech features that cater to experience driven lifestyles.  A more carefully thought-out approach to materials will result in a stronger focus on construction creating more luxurious everyday products.  The craftsmanship of the item and the skill of the maker will continue to be an important point of differentiation.  We will continue down the path of consumption in which we buy less, but expect more from our products.
